What is Cinetropolis?

Cinetropolis is a new venture brought to you from John Rain ,Tim Pelan (ex hacks at Culturedeluxe.com), Drew Stewart and Jon Phelps. We hope you enjoy (we don’t really).

John Rain

John Rain is a miserable sod. He is also a part-time comedian, writes the occasional piece for Sabotage Times, The Hollywood News and Lost in the Multiplex. His favourite film is Superman The Movie and will fight anyone who doesn’t like it. He also probably likes the On the Buses films a bit too much to be considered healthy.

Tim Pelan

Born in 1968, the year of 2001: A Space Odyssey (Possibly his favourite film) , Planet of The Apes, The Night Of The Living Dead, and Barbarella. That also made him the perfect age for when Star Wars came out. Some would say this explains a lot.

Drew Stewart

American-born and raised, Drew loves movies and talking about movies. He figures this is a good a place as any to share what he’s learned about them. He is on the “production team” for the Star Wars Revisited fan edit series (he runs the website/Twitter) & recently became the Series Editor for “Star Trek: The Original Series” on Trek.fm.

Jon Phelps

Jon Phelps hails from the Appalachian Mountains in Virginia. His claims to fame include beating a team of 15 people by himself in multiple games of Scene It, writing his final paper in his college English class on “Postwar Kurosawa”, and making really awesome short films. In short, Jon loves movies and everything about them.
